Right, Blog Time…Hi Twinsclubbers some of you may know us from being oldies but goodies, some of you may not know us at all.

We are Cathy (CathyPit) and Lek (Lek) – Cathy has twin girls (Sophie & Emma) aged 6 plus Rebecca who is 2 and I have twin boys (Jack and Harry) aged nearly 6. We met through twinsclub.co.uk when our babies were about 12 weeks old and have been friends ever since.  We get together at least once a week for tea at Cathy’s and the kids all play well together (most of the time, but when they don’t we take comfort in the fact that we have each other to share the craziness!)

Cathy runs the Monday group of Mini Multiples – our twins, triplets & more group, we are lucky as Mini Multiples has groups which run on several days of the week in several different places to cover many of our local areas.  I am the secretary/fund raising co-ordinator and keen committee member for the group, Cathy and I are in the midst of planning and organising our annual summer fete where we raise awareness of the group and also raise funds for our local Special Care and Intensive Care Baby Unit at Queen Alexandra Hospital, Cosham.  It’s a lot of work, takes a ton of planning and organising (most of which takes place on a Tuesday evening at Cathy’s) we have been doing things for the Fete pretty much once a week for the last year.

We also organise lots of other activities for a wide range of ages such as messy play sessions during school holidays, fund raising events such as clothes swap parties, trips to Paultons Park, Pantomime and lots more.

We thought it would be good to do a blog from running a twinsclub point of view so watch this space for our blogs on organising our Summer Fete!
