He wasn't too happy and he refused and said two was enough as we already had a boy and a girl. But I nagged and nagged and finally got what I wanted. So I comes off the pill and starts trying, each month kept being disappointed, then at the end of May I do a pregnancy test as I've missed my period by one day. I know one day isn't a lot but....

After several years of struggling to conceive, my wife, Lisa, and I succeeded first time with IVF and were enjoying a wonderful problem-free twin pregnancy. In week 28, a scan showed that one of our twins ('Twin 2') was not growing as fast as he should. All through my pregnancy I pleaded for a c-section, as I was terrified of tearing. My midwives were no help, just kept fobbing me off with things like "you'll be straight on an epidural with twins, it'll be pain free, its better for the babies etc etc."
I wasn't convinced though, and I eventually persuaded my male consultant that I wouldn't be able to relax about the pregnancy or birth until I knew I could have a cs. My consultan....
