Need help with childcare? Agency fees too expensive? Need flexibility, someone to help during evenings, weekends, holidays or part of the week? Want to share help with another family? If yes a Childcare Apprentice may be the answer!

Who pays the apprentice and how much?

The employer pays the apprentice a salary reflective of industry rates for experience or meets the requirements of the minimum wage (£95 per week)

How do we choose our apprentices?

All of our apprentices are recruited through a strict vetting system with stringent checks. Employers and providers use a range of techniques to assess the suitability of applicants to work with babies and young children and their potential to complete the full qualification. Successful applicants will have one of the following: a Level 2 Diploma in Childcare (Grade C minimum), or 4 GCSEs at Grade C or above. In addition a satisfactory reference, police check (Criminal Record Bureau) and successful interview is required.
