Pregnancy & birth magazine looking for first-time mums

 I’m a freelance writer with Pregnancy & birth magazine, and am working on a real life article for the magazine. I want to interview a first-time mum-to-be who discovered she was having twins or triplets at her 12-week scan, and wondered if I could approach your members to see if anyone would be interested in being featured.

 

We’re planning a photoshoot in London on 8 Feb, and will reimburse travel expenses for both the mum-to-be and one other person. I will also need to interview them by phone in the next couple of weeks. We’ll provide a CD of all the photos taken on the day as a souvenir, and can include a credit for Twinsclub if you’re able to help us find a case study.

Looking for any heartwarming Christmas stories

I'm a journalist at the Press Association and I am looking for any heartwarming Christmas stories for the national newspapers and magazines.

I would like to speak to any women who have any inspirational and uplifting stories. Perhaps, they became mothers against the odds, or, had multiple births after trying for children for years.

The article involves a brief chat on the phone plus a photo. There is a payment for any story successfully published in a newspaper or magazine and I will read the story back to each person who contributes, before publication.

Looking for first time parents who have received fertility treatment

My name is Rachel Clarke, and I'm currently working with Dr Fiona MacCallum at the University of Warwick, who is a specialist in the research of parent-child relationships and parental well-being, among new parents who have received fertility treatment. Basically I'm contacting you to let you know that we're looking to recruit first-time parents of twins and singletons aged 0 - 3 years following fertility treatment, to assess the parenting experience among both mothers and fathers, and we're just letting groups/local hospitals know about this research, in the hope of reaching interested new parents might like to take part in an opportunity to express their unique experiences and receive a summary report of how other parents perceive this time, before the research ends.

We have received ethical approval, and are advertising on several forums for first-time parents who have received fertility treatment involving embryo-transfer - IVF/ICSI.

Magazine looking for funny childcare stories

I am looking for about 10 women to take part in an article I'm writing on  funny stories that have happened while looking after your own or other peoples' children. It's for the summer issue of a woman's monthly magazine and,  with the holidays looming, it's a lighthearted look at when things go a bit wrong when you're looking after children for a long stretch of the time.

Things that will raise a smile or a rueful shrug of the shoulders ie letting your baby slip through your grasp as you help your toddler with his coat, or the mum who insisted on giving an ice cream to her five yr old
because she had promised her one, when she asked for an apple instead!

All the women featured will be named and will have to provide a headshot of themselves to go with the piece.
